Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 23, 2026
StreamMaster ("the Service") is a browser-based streaming studio operated by Richard Hein ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
Data we collect
- Account data — your Google account email address when you sign in. We do not receive your Google password.
- Studio content — scenes, sources, layout settings, and streaming destination configurations you create. Stream keys for platforms like Twitch and YouTube are stored encrypted and are only decrypted to start a broadcast.
- Integration tokens — if you connect a YouTube account for chat overlays, we store a refresh token, encrypted at rest.
- Session logs — broadcast session records (start/stop times, platforms used, connection status) for reliability monitoring and billing.
- Payment data — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details; we retain your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
Third-party processors
- Google — account sign-in (OAuth) and YouTube Data API (chat overlays, only if you connect an account).
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
- Hetzner — hosts the media relay server that carries your broadcast video to platforms.
- Cloudflare — hosts the application, API, and database.
- Twitch / YouTube — receive your broadcast when you stream to them.
What we do NOT do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not read, record, or store your video or audio content. Media flows from your browser through the relay to the platforms you choose; we only keep connection metadata.
- We do not use your data for advertising.
Retention and deletion
Your studio data is retained while your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the studio (or by emailing us). Deleted data is removed within 30 days, excluding records we must keep for financial compliance (e.g., Stripe payment records).
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you in the app before they take effect.
